Mr. Yuen, 39, is a Senior Analyst for Arctas Capital Group, based in Beijing. Mr. Yuen is a CFA charterholder, with exposure in a number of Asian countries.

He has been active on all of the company’s activities in China, including the development of a 270MW wind IPP portfolio on behalf of BP and a 260MW wind IPP on behalf of AES; an investment into a wind blade manufacturer; pursuit of waste heat power generation portfolio; and analysis of a number of wind IPP opportunities throughout China. He has also supported the financial modelling for the company’s Indonesia geothermal development.

From 1997 to 2002, he was a Senior Project Executive at Mirant Asia Pacific, the Asia subsidiary of the U.S. power company Mirant Corporation. His responsibilities included project development; financial analysis, tax analysis and accounting projections; capital budgeting and project financing; bid proposals and board presentations. His experiences included development and evaluation of acquisition opportunities in China, Thailand, Pakistan, and the Philippines. He was also involved in the loan administration for Mirant’s Pagbilao plant.

From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Yuen was involved in the business development effort of Mirant in Northern China, and had participated in the negotiation with Inner Mongolia. He was stationed in Beijing since 2001.

Prior to that, he was the Project Manager of Grand Sierra Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian property developer. Stationed in Hainan Province, China, he represented the company in its JV for a property development project, and was responsible for financial control and corporate development strategy.

Previously he was in the property division of Wharf Group of Hong Kong.

Mr. Yuen received a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Sydney and a B.Soc.Sc. (Hon) in Economics and Management Studies from University of Hong Kong.
